Tampa Bay Home Remodeling Trends for 2022

Home remodeling trends change all the time, and this year is no exception. We’ve compiled a list of Tampa Bay home remodeling trends for 2022. Check out what we expect Tampa Bay homeowners to take advantage of this year:

Minimalist Design Elements – As society’s tendency to simplify life continues, we predict working with homeowners who seek minimalism in both structural design elements and décor. Decluttered, open floor plans, and spaces without too many frills are likely what we’ll deliver most this year. Black and white, gray, beige tones, and muted pastel paint colors are trending, and often wood or sleek modern décor and furniture work together to achieve the goal of minimalism.

Adaptable home offices – With a great number of homeowners still working remotely or working a side hustle job, home office renovations are becoming a priority. Formal dining and sitting rooms are being converted into office spaces with built-ins and smart boards. Guest rooms play double duty with the addition of an office/desk setup. For many, it’s about creating a functional space productive for working as well as visually appealing for those zoom calls.

Outdoor Renovations – With homeowners working from home, we’re also seeing an increase in requests for outdoor renovations as a means to escape from so much time spent inside the home. Sometimes it’s an extension of the interior space such as an indoor/outdoor fireplace, complete patio area renovation, outdoor kitchen, outdoor bathroom, or shower addition to complement a pool. Here in Tampa Bay, many of our outdoor renovations will include awnings and sunshades for the ideal outdoor space.

Textures – Also on trend for 2022 is adding texture to your walls. Faux brick walls, textured wallpaper such as grasscloth, and textured paint add dimension and create visual interest. 3D patterned wall panels are often used as accent walls and can be found in more modern home designs. These faux finishes add an element of depth and warmth, so it’s no surprise homeowners are taking advantage of this 2022 home renovation trend.

Wallpaper – Wallpaper is making a comeback in 2022. Generally used as an accent wall much like 3D patterned wall panels, wallpaper makes a statement. Commonly placed in entryways, more formal areas of the home and in larger bathroom suites, homeowners are requesting wallpaper with bold colors and patterns as a finishing touch to the Home Renovation Tampa. Evergreen, peacock blue, pinks, and burnt oranges are popular colors to contrast the minimalist interior design trend. Simple to install, wallpaper is a fun way to showcase your personality and can be easily changed or removed to keep up with future trends.

Healthy Lifestyle Components – Still very much in style, bohemian décor and plants are leading the bohemian trend. Hanging, placed on shelves, or a combination of both, plants add an air-purifying element to the home. Also, as people are becoming more health-centered and focused on sustainable living by growing their own herbs and vegetables, for example, we expect some of our clients to request herb fridges as a part of their kitchen remodel. As many herb fridges have glass fronts, they add a beautiful pop of green and are the perfect addition to a newly renovated kitchen.

At Rossi Construction, we stay up to date on current home renovation trends and extend our knowledge of these trends to our clients. Our expert design and construction team handles every detail of the remodeling process – from the initial design concept to the finishing touches, your home will get the attention it deserves.

They were very professional. Quoted us a time frame and they were exact on the time frame. The were very clean as they cleaned up every night. Any questions I had they were very helpful. Overall a great experience. We plan on using them again if we decide to redo our bathrooms. The kitchen came out very nice and we are very happy with it.

The work quality was outstanding, the crew friendly and a delight to work with, and they cleaned up after themselves and left the place in great shape! When I remodel my other unit, there is no doubt that Rossi Construction will be doing the work there also. I had an issue with the door quality of the cabinets and Rossi and his crew met with myself, and the Cabinet Representative immediately, and the issue was resolved to My Satisfaction. You can easily tell that Customer Satisfaction is what everyone in the organization is focused on. Great Job and thanks again, Ed.

Rossi just remodeled our hall bathroom and kitchen. They are incredibly skilled craftsmen who use the best products. We had two different men lead each project and they were both wonderfully skilled (cabinetry, tile, hardware installation, electric, plumbing, painting, etc.). They are honest, hardworking, on schedule, clean up after themselves, and fix problems. We highly recommend them.

Rossi Construction just finished renovating our veterinary hospital. The entire process from start to finish was flawless. Jason was the only contractor who looked at our space and was able to get a rough quote to us within 24 hours. Everything ran on schedule and within budget, and the final product was beautiful. Our project supervisor was incredibly knowledgeable and easy to work with. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for construction work in the Tampa area.

The guys from Rossi do great work. We did a complete remodel of two levels of our house (we have a split level). The work included a full redesign of the master suite (took space from the bedroom to make a bigger bathroom and add a walk-in closet, also changed configuration of some windows), full redesign of main level (kitchen, living, and dining space) that included floating a sunken floor and removing walls to open the space, and cosmetic updates to the rest of the bedrooms (new doors, trim, paint, etc.). Only small issues were due to subcontractors, and Rossi made sure everything was brought up to expectation. We're super happy with the result and would not hesitate to use them on future projects.

I would highly recommend Rossi construction. Jason and his employees were very professional, very conscientious, and definitely went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with the project. If I emailed questions, they were promptly answered. I believe the pricing on the project was very fair. I am recommending them to all my friends. It was a great experience working with this contractor. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Overall, the remodel went quite well. The workmanship is very good. The crew was very punctual and professional. I found some minor issues that I pointed out to them, and they resolved them to our satisfaction. They could have done a better job with drop cloths in the hallways. There was a fair amount of joint compound that got tracked around on the carpet, and some of the dirt & debris got ground into the carpet. However, I consider this to be a minor issue, and would definitely consider using them again.
